Committing our
lives to the Lord and rejoicing as He uses us!
From the.... Pastor's Pen
Transformed by the Cross
"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but
unto us which are saved, it is the power of God." I Cor 1:18
The cross has an awesome power, not only to forgive us of our sins, but
to transform our lives. That's good news! Not only can our sins be
forgiven through the Cross, but sinful habits can be overcome, negative
attitudes can be changed, strained relationships can be mended, talents
can be sharpened, poor personality traits can be refined, and dangerous
temptations can be resisted.
I thank God for the cross of Jesus Christ that transforms our lives into
what He would have us to be.
For His Kingdom,
Pastor Radford
Message from the
Youth President
Hello Fifth Ward,
as you all may know, I was recently elected president of the Fifth Ward
Youth Department, for the year 2008.
I am very honored
and humbled that I was even nominated for this position. I hope to see a
lot of change and increased participation in youth department activities.
I encourage fellow youth to participate in youth department events and
bring a friend or two so they can experience the way GOD is working with
the youth of Fifth Ward.
I encourage
parents to also bring your kids out so they can increase their knowledge
and have a better understanding of how God can and will work with us and
through the younger generation.
I am anxious to
see how this year will go and I look forward to serving you all.
Yours truly,
Keith Reid
Christ Is My
Victory
Don’t let anyone
look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the
believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
