CORDIAL COMMITTEE

Our vision is that the members of the Cordial Committee grow in the Spirit of the Lords. We greet all members & visitors with a smile. We show respect & a kind heart to all visitors. All member of the Cordial committee prays for one another & all the visitors that come to visit our church.

DEACONS
8 In the same way, deacons are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. 9 They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. 10They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons. 11 In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything. 12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well. 13 Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:8-13
FEEDING ON FRANKLIN
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Matthew 25:35-40.
The Feeding at 900 Franklin Street Ministry is committed to reaching the inner city, by the perfecting of the Saints, for the work of the ministry of Jesus Christ. This ministry began in December of 2014, serving meals two Thursdays each month. Now, we are serving every Thursday to approximately 50 to 60 people, most of whom are low-income.

THE GODLY MEN OF ACTION
But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. Joshua 22:5
The mission of the Godly Men of Action of Fifth Ward Baptist Church is to provide men with the resources to develop Godly character and help equip them to influence their world for Jesus Christ.
MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY
“Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” Colossians 3:23 NLT
The Media & Technology Ministry functions to glorify God through media presentations, events, recordings, and communication. The Media & Technology Ministry functions to assist the church in communicating information about the various ministries to our community and within the church.
MOTHER'S BOARD
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31: 30-31
The Mother's Board is a group within the Church that was composed of older women of good character, wisdom, and who love the Church. The Pastor and Congregation choose the women as examples of Holy living in the family as well as in the church.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
At Fifth Ward Baptist Church, we offer congregants of all ages a chance to learn by joining our wide range of Sunday School classes. Our Sunday School classes allow current members or newcomers to be involved with our ongoing mission of spreading the teachings of Jesus Christ to our ever-growing community. Giving back is ingrained into our philosophy, and it’s at the root of our very being.
USHER BOARD
Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

At Fifth Ward Baptist Church, we offer congregants of all ages a chance to give back by joining our wide range of ministries. Our Usher Board allows current members or newcomers to be involved with our ongoing mission of welcoming all Christians. From the street to the seat, Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:3
With the help of the Holy Spirit, the purpose of the Women's Ministry is to reach women with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We meet the special needs of women and help them grow to maturity in Christ through attending bible study and special events at the church.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 9:9-10

YOUTH DEPARTMENT

Let’s be R.E.A.L. Youth can be a handful or two or three. But they are a blessing to us sent from God to guide and show what it means to be a Christian. The Youth Department is here to help out.
